Matthieu Galian

Matthieu Galian is Client Partner at Chaberton Partners Executive Search in Paris.

Matthieu leads search assignments across all insurance industry segments, from health insurance to brokerage and asset management services – and acts as a functional expert on senior corporate officers and C-level executives.He also has significant experience supporting family offices and family-owned businesses, environments where governance and long-term vision are central.

Before joining Chaberton Partners, Matthieu spent seven years at Heidrick & Struggles, where he led the Legal, Risk, Compliance & Governance practice in Paris, after running his own executive search boutique for more than a decade. His earlier career was spent in executive and board-level positions in the media sector, including roles as Secretary General and COO at Groupe Glem (TF1) and DI Group (now Groupe Les Echos/LVMH), as well as Deputy Director at Gaumont Multimedia. He began his career as a lawyer with Wilde Sapte in London.

Matthieu graduated from HEC Business School and holds both a postgraduate and a master’s degree in business law from Paris V René Descartes University. He is a member of the French Institute of Administrators (IFA/NEDs) and serves as Independent Director and Chairman of NPFS, a non-profit organization.
