Dr. Louise Duerr

Dr Louise Duerr is a client Partner for the Life Science practice of Chaberton Partners. 

Louise's career began in clinical development at Serono's headquarters, where she specialized in reproductive endocrinology. She then advanced to the role of Clinical Director at Medtronic HQ, where she managed two sites and oversaw a team of 17 direct reports. Subsequently, Louise concluded her 15-year career in R&D at Roche Pharma HQ, where she contributed to the clinical science team working on Herceptin.

In 2010, Louise transitioned to executive search, establishing a Life Sciences Practice in Basel as Managing Partner. Her trajectory continued as she became the inaugural Partner for the Healthcare Life Sciences Practice of a global recruitment firm in Zurich in 2019, elevating the brand's presence in Europe.

Since June 2021, Louise has held the position of Director for the Life Science DACH region at Chaberton Partners. As of 2023, she also assumed the role of Co-Head of the Life Science Practice, based in Zürich, leveraging her extensive two-decade experience. Louise's commitment to innovation drives her active participation in transformative projects within R&D and the broader commercial landscape in EMEA. Her dedication has earned her an impressive track record in the fields of biotech, medical devices, and diagnostics.

Born in London, Louise concluded her studies with a Ph.D. in Pharmacology from the University of Basel and Novartis HQ Basel. She is fluent in English, German, Swiss-German, and conversant in French and Hebrew.
